Add the Facebook Pixel to Your Apartment Website
Running ads on Facebook? Be sure to add the “pixel” to your website!
Facebook advertising can work very well for apartment communities (as long as the marketing team knows what they’re doing).
When running ads on Facebook, it’s absolutely critical to include the Facebook pixel on your website. This allows Facebook to communicate with your website and is the secret sauce to effective retargeting strategies. Facebook explains these benefits and more about the pixel here.
How to add the Facebook pixel to your apartment website
It’s super easy, just follow these steps:
- Get the Facebook pixel ID. This will show during the Facebook Ads setup process, or your marketing team will provide it. We just need the pixel ID, not the entire code. It will be a string of numbers, like this: 123456789098765 (screenshot)
- Login to your apartment website.
- Click “Website Settings” and then the “Website Info” tab. (screenshot)
- Scroll down to the “Social” section.
- Copy/paste the pixel ID into the “Facebook Pixel ID” field.
- Click “Save All Changes”
That’s it! Your apartment website will auto-generate the rest of the Facebook code, using your pixel. Be sure to verify in Facebook Ads (or with your marketing team) that everything is working correctly. It usually verifies instantly or within 10-15 minutes.
